Wakeup in the Morning...brush my teeth with a bottle of Jack

Kesha song - Tick Tock

With her opening lines about in the morning brushing the teeth with a bottle of Jack. Made me take this picture when i was in the USA.

Tick Tock Lyrics
Wake up in the morning feeling like P Diddy
(Hey, what up girl?)
Put my glasses on, I’m out the door - I’m gonna hit this city (Let’s go)
Before I leave, brush my teeth with a bottle of Jack

Last Call

In March 2011 me and my friend Simanta Paul (its a guys name Indian Name) were invited to a part at a common office friends place for a get-together at about 7:30pm or 8:00pm. We always like good company great food and drinks as we went over.

Really nice apartment well decorated by the lady of the house. She knew both of us from work so she invited us over to her places we were meeting her husband for the first time.

Well before I continue.. You all should know something about me and Simanta. See we are still friends because we have the same values in mind. I am talking about the good and the bad... we even add up liking the same girl and had to call dibs on the girls... but what most of our friends will remember us for is all over stories about the crazy stuff we did over the weekend over drinks.....

Now the same stories were heard by our hostess's husband.. and he has stocked up on alcohol just for us both... But since we were at there place for the first time we both were at our best behavior. As the night went on and the party started end at the late hours our hostess's husband slowly check on us to see if everything was alright... and he did this repeatedly and then finally our hostess's and her husband asked "Why aren't you guys drinking??" We were like "We are drinking" and then our hostess's cleared the us both to be normal and not in our best behavior we confirmed with her husband and the night begins...

We both cant remember the time when people left the party or how left before who... but all we know is that we were the last to leave i mean it was us at the last... even our hostess's had gone to sleep and her husband, Simanta and me were left drinking all i remember is Simanta telling me its 4:30am and we should leave now....

And we broke a lot of rules that day.... i mean real rule...

1,Driving under the influence (didn't call a Cab)
2, And many more (Cant tell you all some are secrets between me and Simanta)

Well i dropped Simanta home and got home my self and we had this rule if we had drinks and we are driving. We need to SMS/Text message the person who saw us last and the host of the party that we reach home same. I did that and the time was 6am when i checked the next day....

And all i could remember when i woke up was "the last shot of Tequila i had in a wired shaped shot glass in orange color" and i remember stopping everyone from having the shot to take a picture of my glass.

Legendary....

Alien Lights - Kodaikanal

On a Vacation in Kodaikanal in Nov 2010. My Friend Anil and I wanted to take something home for our parents. As this was a hill station and uses to be cold most of the time we decided to by quilts and shawls and asked our RV driver to drop us at the Tibetan market and drop the rest of our friends at the hotel.

And after we are done shopping we would call the driver and he would return to the market to pick us up. But we decided to walk to the first cross from the market (will not tell you why that remains a secret between me and Anil). But as we walked up i noticed that the fog and the crossroad illumination system(large flood lights) had a amazing effect.

Like a Hollywood Alien lights sight.

Look Closely - The world has no end

My Friends and I went to Kodaikanal in Nov 2010 the tour guide come RV driver showed us a path and asked us to follow the path to see the water fall.

Some of our friends went a head and took the path and left us behind as we all stopped to smoke a cigarette.

As we smokes started out on the path about 2 to 3 mins later we bump in to my friends and they said there is no waterfall its just a man-made canal were the water was falling from on to another canal and it was barely 11feet tall.

But we guys decided to plow ahead anyways... as i had come to this very spot as a kid and don't recall the route to get to the falls but do remember seeing a beautiful sight.

Well we all stumbled on the same canal were the water fell from about 11feet to the next canal... the only question to me and my friends was were is the water coming from.. and we started to head the way the water was coming... a few seconds on the track and my friends spot the actual path covered up by a few freshly grown plants thats why people though it s the end of the path.

Well we took this path and started heading forword... and as we got closer as like every waterfall it get colder and wetter and finally. There she was.....

Here Comes the Sun - Beatles

This song always come to my head and mind and i even sing it when i see the sunrise. I have taken many a pics singing this very song. Hope you like the song and the Pictures below.

In Fact i started sing the song as i was working on this blog post as well.

This Town - My Version for Chennai

The original Frank Sinatra song goes like the below.

This town is a lonely town
Not the only town like-a this town
This town is a make-you town
Or a break-you-town and bring-you-down town

This town is a quiet town

Or a riot town like this town
This town is a love-you town
And a shove-you-down and push-you-'round town

This town is an all-right town

For an uptight town like-a this town
This town, it's a use-you town
An abuse-you town until-you're-down town

This town is a losin' town

It's a miserable town
It's a nowhere town
And I am leavin' this town
You better believe that I'm leavin' this town
Man, it could never be uptown
It's bound to be downtown

This town, bye-bye

Bye, bye, bye, bye, bye-bye

But here is my version for the City of Chennai (So called Metropolitan city) is below.

This town is the only town
No its the only town like-a this town
This town will never make-you town
Only break-you-town and bring-you-down

This town is not a quiet town

Or only a riot town like-a this town
This town is a hate-you town
And a shove-you-down and push-you-to the ground town

This town is not a all-right town

For a really uptight town like-a this town
This town, it's a use-less town
Can i abuse this town until it comes down town

This town is a loser town

It's a miserable town
It's a nowhere town
And I am leavin' this town
You better believe that I'm leavin' this town
Man, it could never be uptown
It's bound to be down town

This town, bye-bye

Bye, bye, bye, bye, bye-bye

And i am really really going to sing this song when i move out of Chennai.

Lonely Bench

Now this thought of mine will show you have i learned photographer (The trial and error way)

What you read below is not something that i am making up...

Every time i get a scene (a shot with certain objects in my view finder)  i think of a photographic name for the scene and take the picture.

now what happens when i come home and try to search the internet about this scene a million other photographers have come across the same scene and they have aptly named the scene the same.... the exact same as i did...

See that pic on the top of this blog with me sitting on a bench next to that old tree and gazing down the green landscape... well that picture is called "Alone on the bench" and i came home and on the internet photographer also called the scene "Alone on the bench" try it search and see you will find similar pics in Google images.

Similar the other scene you rarely get is called the "Lonely Bench" which again is the same scene as above but only i am not sitting on the bench and you don't see any other bench in the shot or there is no one sitting on the bench that is called "Lonely Bench".

What i am trying to say is that a picture says a thousand words but all I do is before I capture that image I see in my view finder I just put a few words together to say something about the image I see and it leaves a impression on me and also the people who see these images.

Here are some pictures i took think of the words i put together before i captured.

Mockingbird will die

On One November Sunday morning in 2010 I was whiling away the time just smoking and walking on our buildings rooftop.

And i stumbled on these to peaces only... now i don't know what kind of bird this is or what the hell eat it... but it is not a chicken and it was not some guy eating KFC on the rooftop....

So I assuming the killer is a bird of pray which there were many around that killed it and finished it....

Or a bird of pray killed it and had a little and the neighborhood cats cleaned the rest that would explain the missing bones...

Or a big cat jumped this bird and killed it dragged its carcass up to the rooftop enjoyed the meal and left...

which ever story it its i had some fun trying to figure out who the hell the bird got there i went full CSI on the bird carcass moving in with the end of a pencil and taking photos of it and tossing the remaining head and bones after drawing a chalk outline and stuff..... it was a fun Sunday morning.

Skyline - Pictures

I Love the sky line. I have always looked up to the majestic sky and see all those clouds pass though the blue, dark grey, orange, red, twilight sky.

I have many a times looked up to the sky and seen a majestic sight and captured in with my mobile phone camera or a pocket camera or even my DSLR.

Sometimes even when i am driving i try to take picture as i drive because every picture has a story right so i want to say i took this as i was driving.... Yeah i know it can get me killed

But what can i say when it comes to taking a picture of the sky your seeing there is no time to waste. In nano seconds the sight will change.

Usually when i am doing night work on the stars or the big moon in the sky i keep not one but 2 SD cards ready......

Set my camera up on the tripod and get the shot right and to get the best of the capture of the changing skyline i take a few pictures and then swap the memory card and check on the laptop and i always use a remote shutter switch so keep clicking the shot as i do this and swap again to see if i got a great shot in the last set.. keep doing this till i am satisfied with the shot or angle and look thought the view finder again... i take about 50 to 100 shots in one scene.

When taking skyline picture i guess the things i keep as  important in my head are below

ISO: - simple set this first.. more vivid colors the larger ISO and then play with the below.

Shutter Speed: - based on wind speed and objects in you image if there are birds then...they will move ending up as lines or looking like birds.. so based on the speed of the capture you want.

Aperture: - this would be based in the time of day and the amount of light on the camera.. see you don't want to take photo of the sun at a f/4 and a Shutter speed of  1/30 all you get is a bright white photo...

So a low f number at low light and a higher f number at brighter image. But some situations are different so its all trial and error... so the 2 SD memory cards work... very will for me..

The Red-Out Theory by Ranjith Kamath

Before i start what does the human eye see??
Answer: - Color

What does the human eye do??
Answer: - Focus, provides depth of field, works in different levels of low and bright light with the help the pupils and many more.

But what we see is color.

Growing up i starting thinking about a lot of stuff. Some questions that came to my mind are like the color red the color actually in that "TONE" or is it that the human eye and brain is designed in such a way that it identity that light spectrum as red or the object is reflecting red and observing the other color spectrum and since all humans are designed the same way we all see red.

See some animals have no color in there vision hence they see in black and white..... but again black and white is not only 2 colors but a blend of the 2 colors which result is various shades of greys.

Like the night vision goggles we humans use in the military is usual green vision but that's designed that way because the human eye can identity the most number of shades in green. So Night Vision is different shades of green.

So when some one says black and white image our brain recalls and image of different shades of grey but not just Black & White.

And when i say green screen or night vision we can picture the right amounts of green.

But is that what the other person or your fellow human is really seeing.

Think about the following experiment

1, If a child is educated that the color red we all see is called RED and the color green that we all see is called GREEN. And if you tell him how the night vision goggles work and how you use a green screen the child will image everything in GREEN.

2, If a child is educated that the color Red that we all see is
actually called GREEN and the color green that we all see is actually called RED. And if you tell him how the night vision goggles work and how you use a green screen the child will image everything in GREEN.

3, The Red-Out Theory -Now think of this... just think of it.... what if the child is seeing the color yellow with his eyes (which for your eyes is red) so every time you see red the child sees yellow but you teach the child that its called RED. And the child is seeing the color blue with his eyes (which for your eyes is Green) so every time you see green the child sees blue but you teach the child that its called GREEN. Now if you tell him how the night vision goggles work and how you use a green screen your thinking of telling the child about GREEN but child is also thinking about GREEN and Imagining the color GREEN.

Now if your reading this with someone else thing about it you and the other person are already synced to the worlds concept of the colors so u will say the same colors but are u sure your brain is seeing the right "TONE"

So my red-out theory says don't go red with anger about what shade of  grey or blue or pink or any other color it is or what is the name of the color with your friends. Your never sure if your educating the other person about a color that there brain should recognize.
